Aria, Ex Macello, a former Reinventing Cities Milan winning project, hosted a variety of placemaking activities and exhibitions during Milan Design Week, Fuorisalone, on behalf of Alvoca, a platform dedicated for designers and businesses. The site is currently awaiting redevelopment however is undergoing a series of temporary activation, bringing the space to life.
Aria
The former slaughterhouse, situated north of via Lombroso, housed for decades the socalled meat market. Aria will be the first carbon-negative building in Milan by means of 100% renewable energy as well as one of the biggest affordable housing interventions of the new millennium.
