The winners of the 5th edition of the international competition “C40 Students Reinventing Cities” were officially recognized at the Sector 2 Town Hall on October 8, 2026. Organized under the European ReGreeneration initiative, the event brought together students, academic mentors, local residents, and municipal partners to reimagine the Pantelimon–Fundeni area as a greener, healthier, and more accessible neighborhood.

Out of 25 student teams presenting innovative ideas on urban revitalization, green infrastructure, mobility, and community inclusion, Team URBAN ROOTS took home top honors for their winning vision, while two additional teams received special mentions for their outstanding proposals. By combining data-driven environmental solutions, local administration support, and academic creativity, the initiative continues to build a more resilient, sustainable, and inclusive Sector 2.

You can explore the site details and winning concepts on the official C40 Reinventing Cities Pantelimon–Fundeni Project Page.
