In Salvador, an awards ceremony took place on Wednesday 25 September in the Auditorium of the Municipal Public Archives, in Comércio, to celebrate the winners of the Students Reinventing Cities competition in the city. 

‘We worked on a series of issues, such as mobility with active routes. We thought of a city with the concept of ‘15 minutes’ (access to services within 15 minutes of the citizen's home). If a city works for the people who live there, it will also work for those who come from outside, attracting more people to the area. In addition, we proposed the creation of a socio-cultural centre as a central element of the proposed building, encompassing annexes and the ruins present on the site,’ said Yrlan Santos, a member of the winning group.
